 Total Whiteness 

TWLS 022021 overviewTotal Whiteness is the percentage of non-Hispanic white students. It was calculated by dividing the total number of students enrolled in the first year of law school in 2017, 2018, and 2019 by the total number of White students enrolled during the same period. White Students included those identified as White and Unknown. It does not include White Hispanics.

Between 2017 and 2019, 117,692 students entered law school; 67.2% of the enrollment was White: Half of the schools had Whiteness greater than 71.2%.

The Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico has no White students. Two schools had more than 90% Whiteness. This is a significant improvement  from 2004, where 26 schools had over 90% Whiteness.
